70 for the 70th Anniversary – Charity Skydive
To mark the 70th Anniversary of D-Day, Paracharity held a commemorative skydive at Skydive Hibaldstow on 7th June. The weather forecast for 2014 wasn’t much better than that of 1944 and so plans had to be rethought. An option not available in 1944. Read More
PARAS’10 Colchester a success despite the heat
The 2014 Colchester PARAS’10 held on 18th May was a huge success with over 800 entrants battling the heat, mud, and water. Our youngest competitor was just 16 whilst our oldest was 7 years old at the time of D-Day. Colchester PARAS’10 2014 also saw our first startline marriage proposal, our first overhead view of the start and the first time new entrants outnumbered our loyal fans. Read more here.

Thanks for everyone who has applied for a place in the 2015 Virgin London Marathon in the Ballot.
The Ballot for the 2015 Virgin London Marathon opened in the early hours of 22 April and was closed by 10am! If you’ve missed out on applying don’t forget about some of the other Marathons around the country. Each offer their own unique flavour and is as big an achievement as the London Marathon! There are also half Marathons and 10K and 5Ks. There are running races for every distance! We are a small charity, and would love to have your support.
We support our soldiers and their families and we will continue to help them in times of need, long after current operations have ceased. We need you to help us continue this vital support.
Let us know what you intend to do! Good luck!
Operation Market Garden 70th Anniversary Commemorations
The Chairman of the Arnhem Veterans Club (1944), Colonel John Waddy OBE, and the Colonel Commandant of the Parachute Regiment, Lieutenant General Jacko Page CB OBE who represents the present day Airborne Forces invite all those who served in the British 1st Airborne Division during OPERATION MARKET GARDEN to attend the events to mark the 70th anniversary. All are welcome.
The aim of the events marking the 70th Anniversary is to ensure that a grateful nation’s thanks are passed to those who took part in this action.
It is important that the focus should be on the surviving veterans, as they commemorate their fallen comrades whose sacrifice helped to bring about the liberation of The Netherlands and shorten the war in Europe. Read more

An amazing challenge, but all the more so because they are doing it in aid of Paracharity. To learn more and to see additional pictures of the group in training, read on here.
